President Volodymyr Zelenskyy criticized the idea of creating additional barriers for regional political parties in local elections and accused the supporters of paratization in "shaky". "The separate political parties have intensified the virus, which is sitting in them for the last 28 years. This virus is called "shaky". Realizing the meager chances of the local elections, some parties are trying to change legislation and establish flimsy barriers for regional parties, "the head of state said in a video address in the evening on Wednesday, May 6.
"In this way, old politicians want, despite the political will of the residents of the region to crawl into the local authorities. In fact, to deprive small parties and non-partisan citizens to change their region for the better ",-added Zelensky.
According to the president, no future local elections from Parties will not require representation in two-thirds of the oblasts and overcome the five-percent barrier across the country.
"I will not allow this... This is my position and the "servant of the People" Party,-assured Zelensky.
His words may indicate reluctance on the eve of local elections to conflict with regional elites, as well as to take responsibility for the unpopular decisions that are not popular with them. -To run for local elections, the party must have representative offices in 2/3 oblasts;
-Candidates in mayors should be nominated for all Ukrainian parties, self-determination will be cancelled;
