150 million will give Ukraine a World Bank

The World Bank approved additional funding for Ukraine in the amount of $150 million for social assistance to families with low income, the need for which increased through pandemic COVID-19.

"Thousands of Ukrainian families are already having difficulties with utility services due to loss of income. Pensioners can not afford to buy even the most necessary medicines and foodstuffs due to rising prices ",-said Kremer.

He said that additional funding would also be aimed at providing grants for small business discovery.

$50 million will be directed to measures to combat the spread of pandemic COVID-19. These funds will help increase the size and accelerate payment of assistance within the framework of the State social assistance program for low-income families and housing subsidies program.

Disposable payments will also be provided to the elderly and recipients of social assistance in connection with the disability, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
