"Pointless sanctions should disappear",-the Chancellor of Germany criticized the the current attitude to Russia

The German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder, who is the head of "Nord Stream AG" and "Rosneft", proposed to withdraw sanctions from the Russian Federation.

It is reported by "RBC-Ukraine" with reference to the "Tagesspiegel" Schroeder interview.

According to him, in times of coronation need more cooperation.

"It is not suitable that we continue to support sanctions against Russia. On the one hand, they cause historical memories in Russia, and on the other-do not change Russian policy... Especially now that we are entering through the carp in difficult economic times, we need more cooperation. Therefore, pointless sanctions should disappear, "the exchancellor of Germany said.

The journalist noted that the sanctions are the EU's response to the annexation of Crimea and the violation of international law, which Schroeder replied:

"He who thinks that sanctions can make Russia do something wrong. No Russian president will ever return Crimea to Ukraine. This is a reality, "he said.

In addition, he said that peace in the Donbas is possible only subject to federalization of Ukraine.

Recall earlier reported that in the Crimea under strange circumstances continue to die Russian officials. For several years four more officials have been killed in Crimea.
