The leader of the "civic position" Party Anatoliy Gritsenko is convinced that in case of growth of electricity tariffs, the Ukrainian "middle class" will be paid above.
Gritsenko notes that the tariff for the first 100 Kw is increased for the poorest segments of the population, because they consume within this figure.
"But we know that the poorest for electricity does not pay, they receive subsidies. So who will pay and whose money? State from the budget. And fills the budget who? Taxpayers, entrepreneurs and employees, the basis of the middle class. The proposed increase in the rate of the average class cause another blow-kick worth 12 billion hryvnia! He emphasizes that this amount will be taken from Ukrainians for "green" energy and its owners.

As previously reported, the NEURC member Dmitry Kovalenko during a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy and Housing Services said that the NEURC as one of the options for the development of events considers the abolition of the preferential tariff for the population for the first 100 Kw of electricity to solve problems with the "green" tariff.
Later, the regulator denied information on the increase of electricity tariffs for the population.
