On April, 4, two dozen Ukrainian experts of MIA and MOH went to Italy with a humanitarian mission.

All the doctors flew voluntarily. In a few days, Ukraine will also send to Italy humanitarian aid-a special cargo of disinfectants.

This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov and the Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov, reports "glavcom" referring to the Ministry of Interior Press service.

"Today we ship to the region of Marche 20 Ukrainian medics. It is an important step for us to help friends in difficult times. It expression solidarity and specific assistance. In Italy, many Ukrainians work, by unofficial data, about 100 of them are in intensive care. Helping Italy we help ourselves. And it is very important – the Ukrainian experts will gain invaluable experience in treatment of coronavirus, "Avakov said.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also noted that for two days, humanitarian aid will be directed to Italy:

"These will be special alcohol disinfectants, as our stocks are enough to fill the domestic market and we can transfer to partners in Europe. We are preparing another helicopter-resuscitation, he will also fly to help the Italians. We expect these missions to last for two weeks, our medics will return, take all the safety procedures and transfer the experience, "the Minister of Internal Affairs added.

In turn, Stepanov noted that doctors who are sent to Italy are equipped with all necessary personal protective equipment.

"We will constantly keep in touch with our physicians in Italy to make all the groundwork that are in the treatment of this disease we could use in Ukraine. Infectionists, reanimatologists, surgeons, anesthesiologists, endocrinology, and and nurses flew to Italy, that is, all those who deal with the treatment of this disease, "Maxim Stepanov said.

Italian Ambassador to Ukraine Davide La Chechylia thanked the president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, and Minister of Health Maxim Stepanov for the necessary Italian physicians assistance and support.

"Ukrainian medics who will be working for 14 days, help Italian doctors and gain experience they can use next. This contribution the Italian side is very valued ", – said David La Chechillia.
