The Prosecutor of Zaporizhzhya region informed the former deputy of one of the village councils of Berdyansk district of Zaporizhzhya region about suspicion in an official negligence through which the territorial community suffered material damage of 1.7 million UAH (H. 2 tbsp. 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, the village council, according to the tender procedure, signed a procurement contract with private commercial firm for 3 million UAH of budget funds of two new fire trucks. Former deputy of the village council, holding the position of deputy Chairman, during the implementation of the procurement contract, not having to verify the proper quality of fire vehicles, signed the expenditure invoice and the goods receipt. So he took two worn fire trucks of 1985 release, the actual cost of which differs from the amount of the transferred village council by a commercial company by almost UAH 1.7 million. As a result of public official territorial's actions, the hromada inflicted damage to the specified amount.
Recall, in accordance with art. 62 The Constitution of Ukraine shall be deemed innocent in the committing crime and shall not be subjected to criminal punishment until his guilt is proved in lawful order and established by the guilty verdict of the court.
